Tinuade Awe

Tinuade Awe is an attorney qualified to practice in Nigeria and New York. She is the Chief Executive Officer of NGX Regulation Limited, which is a self-regulatory organization licensed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to provide regulatory services within the Nigerian Capital Market. Prior to her current role, Ms. Awe served in various executive positions at The Nigerian Stock Exchange, including General Counsel. She also worked as a Law Clerk at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, an Associate Legal Officer with the United Nations Compensation Commission and as an Associate in the New York office of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett.

She previously served on the Board of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria. During her tenure at the FRC, she chaired the Corporate Governance Committee, which had Board level responsibility for monitoring the implementation of the Nigerian Code of Corporate Governance, 2018. She is currently a Non-Executive Director of the Central Securities Clearing System Plc. She is also a member of the FRC’s Adoption Readiness Working Group for the Adoption of the International Sustainability Standards Board’s IFRS S1 and IFRS S2 in Nigeria and a member of the World Federation of Exchanges Advisory Group on Market Governance (AGMG). She enjoys African Art and travelling.
