The Foundation’s policy of evaluating the impact and applicability of its interventions recently saw it streamlined from four (Mother & Child Health, Youth Empowerment and Education, Arts & Culture) to two portfolios, National Priority and Youth Development.

I have indeed learnt a lot from the Y’ellopreneur programme and my business has experienced positive changes in different ways; with my daily sales record, I was able to set aside funds for emergencies and the relationship with my customers has grown stronger as they are key to my business success. I signed in to the platform last year. I was unemployed at the time. My learning in that period aided my getting a job, and I now apply some of it to what I do at my job. I’m really grateful that a platform like the MTN Skills Academy exists. It is really useful for people who can’t pay to acquire skills but possess a great drive to learn and be better.
The Design and digital transformation for businesses was a game-changer for my catfish farming startup. I gained valuable skills in design tools like Canva, Google Drive, and social media optimization, which I’ve already applied to boost my business. The training also opened doors for me to share my knowledge with other entrepreneurs as a speaker. I’m now seeking investment to scale my business and leverage digital tools to drive sales.
As a result of the training, I was able to design the current logo I’m using for my business. any customers contacted me through Facebook, Whatsapp and Instagram through my business pages which never happened untill now. My sales have increased by about 28% per week. I’m now gradually digitalizing my business. I’m very grateful to MTN foundation for this training which is truly impactful that I can now see vividly and touch.
I’m Esther, and I am a Maths teacher in Anambra. My students used to be so scared of maths and didn’t really like it. I also struggled as a teacher to make them see its beauty. Not until I participated in the MTN SAIL Teachers Fellowship Programme. This programme was empowering and revolutionary. I have learned creative digital storytelling and gamification techniques, and I now use AI tools to generate real-life word problems…
I’m Abdulrahman and I teach Biology in Senior Secondary School 1. I am a proud participant of the MTN SAIL Teachers Fellowship Programme. Before this fellowship, my biggest frustration was keeping students engaged and explaining complex concepts in a way they truly understood. This training has changed that by equipping me with digital and AI-driven strategies that help me teach more clearly, creatively, and confidently.
