“The artist has one function–to affirm and glorify life.”
– W. Edward Brown
Art is life.
And we are a rich artistic country with diverse cultures.
A beautiful nation with varied forms and representation of arts and culture in our literature, food, dance, music, paintings, crafts, and so much more.
We are our nation. The creators of our tale and it is time we became its storytellers.
If we don’t do it, who will?
This is our drive.
Our goal: Is to facilitate the reawakening of the arts in Nigeria, sponsoring Arts & Culture initiatives across the country. Tell the stories of our rich culture to a wider audience and serve as a platform to build the capacity of skilled Nigerian youth across the entire Arts & Culture value chain.
Objectives of the Arts and Culture Cause:
- To retell positive Nigerian and African Stories.
- Empower young skilled Art professionals.
- To promote value creation through Arts & Culture.
This Cause is in line with UN Goal’s 4: Quality Education and Goal 17: Partnerships to achieve the Goal, in partnership with the Federal and State ministries of Arts & Culture and Youth Development.
Some of our interventions over the years include:
- Annual scholarships to talented musicians to acquire a diploma certificate in music at the MUSON School of Music.
- Sponsorship of theatre productions that celebrate Nigerian Arts and Culture across the country e.g. Fela and the Kalakuta Queens, Legends, the Musical, Agbarho, the Musical, The Stage Play, Jungle Story 2, Five Maids of Fadaka, Emotan and OMG, the Musical.
- Contribution to the development of visual art in Nigeria e.g. Life in My City Festival, My Story of Water, and Lagos International Poetry Festival (LIPFEST).
For we are a people with stories to tell.
Let our stories help shape the world
