Etim’s career, which started 45 years ago, has spanned across Structural Engineering practice, Computing and Software development, Laboratory infrastructure and automation in Nigeria. He currently sits as the board CEO of MIS Group where he leads a team of highly motivated engineers and chemists workforce, making enviable strides in Nigeria.
As an astute entrepreneur, Etim has birthed several startups. He founded Management Information Systems Company Ltd. (MIS) in 1983, marking his entry into the information technology (IT) sector. Under his leadership, MIS evolved into a multidisciplinary company offering services across IT, medical equipment, laboratory automation, and software solutions. MIS was the first Hewlett-Packard full-function distributor in Nigeria for several years before HP came into Nigeria as a subsidiary. He also formed Megatech Software for Oracle and bespoke BD application development, as well as Megatech Earth Digital Systems for mapping and geospatial applications. In 2007, this evolution led to the formation of MIS Software Ltd. and Synapse Technologies Ltd., both of which have become significant players in their respective industries. As Group CEO of the MIS Group, Etim oversees a team of over 50 professionals, driving innovation and operational excellence across diverse sectors. For his contribution to the Information Technology industry in Nigeria, Etim was awarded a Fellowship of the Nigerian Computer Society.
