A. The MTN TravelPass plan is a subscription-based roaming plan which offers discounted calls (incoming & outgoing), SMS, and data, across 50+ countries. With this roaming offer, you can use your MTN line while travelling at discounted roaming rates.

A. There are seven (7) TravelPass plans available to MTN customers.

Voice calls are available across all TravelPass Destinations on select networks except in some destinations (E.g. USA, Australia, Etc ), where Voice Calls requires you to activate VOLTE (Voice over LTE). To check if your device is compatible click here.

Voice & data elements of TravelPass plan can be used for the following:

1. Voice:

• Outgoing call to Nigeria and visited country.
• Incoming call from Nigeria and visited country. Subject to allowable incoming minutes here.

A. All new and existing Prepaid and Postpaid customers on the MTN network can subscribe to any of the TravelPass plans.

A. You can purchase any of the TravelPass plans via the following channels:

• USSD: Dialling *312*6*1#, *123*4*1#, or *904# and selecting your preferred ‘TravelPass plan’ under “Roaming & Int’l Offers”.
• Direct USSD (Refer to the Summary table below)
• myMTN App
• Zigi

**The four new bundles are currently not available on the NextGen App.

A. All prepaid and postpaid customers on the MTN network can subscribe to MTN TravelPass plans in Nigeria or any eligible destination. You can also buy for family and friends.

A. Yes, you can buy any MTN TravelPass plans for your family and friend irrespective of your location and the beneficiary.

A. Yes, you can purchase the same TravelPass plan multiple times, BUT each of the TravelPass plans activated will expire separately.

A. Yes, you can purchase a combination of different TravelPass plans, BUT each plan activated will expire separately depending on the validity.

A. On exhaustion or expiry of your bundle minutes or data, you will be charged from your main account or postpaid credit limit as applicable.

A. Yes, you will get an sms notification when you have used up to 50% and 80% of the subscription and exhaust the plan. You will also get End of Call Notification which shows the volume of minutes, SMS and Data used.

A. Yes, you will be able to roll over the unused bundle after expiry IF you buy another bundle within the rollover period; 1 day for the 24-hours bundle, 3 days for the 7-day bundle, 5 days for the 14-day bundle, and 7 days for the 30-day bundles. Otherwise, you lose the unused bundle.

A. Yes, you can use a single subscription if you are travelling across multiple eligible destinations and operators within validity period.

A. Calls to other non-inclusive destinations will be charged at standard roaming rate from your main account/postpaid credit limit account as applicable.
