Welcome to the terms and conditions (“Terms”) for Amazon subscriptions and memberships obtained through MTN Nigeria Plc. (“MTN Nigeria Plc.”, “we”, “our” or “us”). These Terms are between you and MTN Nigeria Plc. and govern our respective rights and obligations for Amazon subscriptions you have purchased as part of a bundle offer with your mobile plan, as an add-on to your existing mobile plan, or as a promotional offer where MTN Nigeria Plc. covers the cost of your subscription for a period of time. The subscription or membership offered may be for Amazon Prime, Prime Video, Amazon Music or other Amazon services.

Please note that you must have or open an Amazon account to use and sign-up for your Amazon subscription, and that your Amazon account and subscription are governed by agreements with Amazon, including Amazon’s Conditions of Use, the Amazon.com Privacy Notice, and Amazon Prime Video Terms of Use: https://www.primevideo.com/help/ref=atv_hp_cnt?nodeId=202095490

These Terms cover eligibility, activation, billing, cancellation and other elements regarding the Amazon subscriptions obtained through MTN Nigeria Plc. MTN Nigeria Plc. is a promotional and billing partner of Amazon. Amazon owns, operates and provides the Amazon services that are in your subscription.

EligibilityEligibility
  • To be eligible for the free 1-month Prime Video Mobile Edition subscription on Amazon service through MTN Nigeria Plc., you must: (a) be a MTN Nigeria Plc. customer in good standing (b) a data bundle subscriber and user (c) a smartphone user.
  • To be eligible for the free 3-months Prime Video subscription on Amazon service through MTN Nigeria Plc., you must: (a) be a MTN Nigeria Plc. customer in good standing (b) a data bundle subscriber and user (c) a smartphone user (d) a High Value customer as defined by MTN Nigeria Plc (e) or purchase a data bundle of N10,000 and above.
  • If you are an existing Amazon subscriber to the applicable Amazon service, or if you are a business customer, you are not eligible for these Amazon subscriptions offers through MTN Nigeria Plc.
ActivationActivation

After you sign up for a free trial, add-on or promotional offer for an Amazon service through MTN Nigeria Plc., we will send you an email or SMS text with a link to activate your subscription. You will have 30 days from the date your activation email or text is sent to you to activate the offer or promotion. After 30 days, the activation link will expire. The link will direct to sign up for your Amazon Prime Video Service with MTN Nigeria Plc. and accept the applicable terms and conditions for your select plan. The link will also redirect you to the Amazon website to login or set up your Amazon account.

BillingBilling

Once you have subscribed to the Amazon Prime Video Service, your subscription fees for the first 1 month for Prime Video Mobile Edition subscription) or first 3 months for Prime Video subscription will be paid for by MTN Nigeria Plc. if you received a promotional offer.

You cannot use more than one (1) free trial offer during any 12-month period. Amazon’s standard subscription rate is currently

If you wish to continue subscribing to the Amazon service after the first 1 month for Prime Video Mobile Edition or first 3 months for Prime Video free trial period, the standard Amazon subscription charges will apply. MTN Nigeria Plc. will charge you a monthly subscription fee as shown in Table 1 above in the 2nd month, if you activated a Prime Video Mobile Edition package or in the 4th if you activated a Prime Video package. This will continue every succeeding month thereafter for the Amazon Prime Video Service until you cancel your subscription to the Amazon Prime Video Service.

If you received a bundle, add-on or promotional offer, MTN Nigeria Plc. will charge you a monthly subscription fee according to Table 1 above for the Amazon Prime Video Service monthly until you cancel your subscription to the Amazon service. The usual MTN Nigeria Plc. payment terms will apply according to Table 1 above.

CancellationsCancellations

Your Amazon subscription will continue until cancelled. You may cancel your Amazon subscription anytime through myMTN NG App, MTN Nigeria website (https://play.mtn.ng/prime-video) or dial *305*2*5#. Upon cancellation of any Prime Video Service subscription, no refunds shall be made. However, you will continue to enjoy your subscription till the end of service validity date.

UpgradesUpgrades

After activating any Prime Video Mobile Edition package, you will be able to upgrade to Prime Video package via two (2) options: (1) Upgrade now – To cancel your current subscription and upgrade to Prime Video immediately in which you will be charged for your selected Prime Video subscription and activated instantly. No refund, proration or a top-up shall be made available.

(2) Upgrade later – To upgrade to your new selected Prime Video package at the end of your current subscription validity date with the charges deducted from your airtime balance at the time of initiating the upgrade request.

If you received a bundle, add-on or promotional offer and upgrades to a Prime Video subscription, the free trial will be terminated, the new package will be activated immediately, and the cost will be deducted from your airtime balance.

Termination by UsTermination by Us

MTN Nigeria Plc. may revoke your Amazon subscription, at our sole discretion without notice to you, if we suspect any fraudulent activity, misuse of your subscription or violation of these terms or any applicable law by you. No fee refund will be given in case of revocation.

The promotions including Amazon services are not redeemable, transferable or refundable for cash and cannot be exchanged.

Amazon subscriptions that include mobile apps, streaming content services, and any other services that require connection to the Internet use data. Data usage incurred from using content online on a device connected to our network will count toward your monthly mobile data allowance, unless otherwise provided in your offer or promotion.

MTN Nigeria Plc. reserves the right to change these Terms at any time without notice. If applicable, we’ll let you know if we do this by posting revised Terms on our website.
