To start earning points, you don’t need to do much. As long as you are on the Pulse tariff plan, you’ll be earning points every time you perform any of the above-listed transactions.

These points can be redeemed by activating any of the following data bundles:

  • Daily, weekly and monthly data bundles
  • Instagram/TikTok/YouTube data bundles
  • Nightlife bundles

Q. What is Pulse Points Offer?

A. Pulse Points Offer Awards All MTN Pulse customers Points for Performing some transactions on their lines.


Q. If I have been on the Pulse tariff plan but migrated out, will l receive Pulse Points if l migrate back to the Pulse tariff?

A. No, you will not receive Pulse Points if you migrate back to the Pulse tariff.


Q. What are the revenue-generating activities l should perform to receive Pulse Points?

A. The selected activities are:

  1. Purchase/Gifting of:
    • Daily Data Bundles
    • Weekly Data Bundles
    • Monthly Data Bundles
    • Instagram/TikTok/Youtube Data Bundles
  2. Make a voice call
  3. Transfer of Airtime/Data via myMTN NG app

Q. Will I earn Points for making calls?

A. Yes. All Pulse customers will earn 1 Point for every 5 minutes of calls made from the Main, Xtratime/Moretime account to:

  • National Calls (On-net/Off-net calls)
  • International Calls
  • Roaming calls

Example 1

If Mrs Clem makes a total of 5 minutes voice calls from her Main/Xtratime, she will earn 1 Pulse Points that will be credited to his Points dedicated account.

Example 2

If Mr Femi makes a total of 10 minutes voice call from his Main/Xtratime, he will earn 2 Pulse Points that will be credited to his dedicated account.

Example 3

If Mr Josh makes a total of 5 minutes 59secs call, he will earn 1 Pulse Points that will be credited to his dedicated account.

Example 4

If Mr Jeff makes a total of 4 minutes 59secs call, he will NOT earn Pulse Points.


Q. Will I receive Pulse Points when I make cumulative calls?

A. Yes, you will receive Pulse Points for:

  1. Every cumulative 5 minutes call you make.
  2. The cumulative calls include (national calls, International calls and Roaming calls)

Example

Mrs Mariam makes a 3-minute on-net call by 9:00am, then another 1-minute off-net call by 11:30am, and then another 1-minute international call by 1.30pm. At the end of the call by 1.31pm, she will receive 1 Pulse Point for the total call duration of 5 minutes.


Q. Will the counter reset daily?

A. Yes, the counter resets by 11.59pm daily.

Example

If Mrs Cathy’s total of the day is 4 minutes 59secs by 11.59pm, and she makes another call of 3 minutes at 0.01am the next day, she will NOT earn Pulse Points until her calls the next day gets to 5 minutes.


Q. Will l receive the Points immediately after my calls or at the end of the day?

A. Yes, you will receive 1 Point at the end of every 5 minutes calls made.


Q. Will l receive Points for making calls from my bonus account?

A. No, you will NOT receive Points for calls made from all bonus accounts.


Q. Will l get a notification once I receive the Points?

A. Yes, you will receive a notification for every point received.


Q. Will l get Points for receiving calls?

A. No, you will only receive Points for making calls


Q. Can I use my Pulse Points to make calls?

A. No, you can only use your Pulse Points to redeem Data.


Q: What is the validity of my Pulse Points?

A. The Pulse Points will be valid for 1 (One) Calendar Year, e.g. January 1st 2020 – December 31st 2020, 11:59pm.


Q. How do I check the Pulse Points balance?

A. To check for your Pulse Points balance, dial *406*7#


Q. Will I receive Pulse Points when I activate a Data plan with my Pulse Points?

A. No, you will NOT receive Pulse Points if you:

  1. Activate a Data plan with your Pulse Points.
  2. Activate a Data plan with a combination of your Pulse Points and Airtime.

Q. Will l be able to use my Pulse Points if l migrate out of the Pulse tariff plan?

A. No, you will lose your Pulse Points if you migrate out of the Pulse plan.


Q. Will l be able to accumulate the Pulse Points?

A. Yes. You can accumulate your Pulse Points and exchange them for free Data.


Q. How can I redeem my Pulse Points?

A. You will be able to redeem your Pulse Points at any time to purchase eligible Data Bundles via:

  1. SMS – Eligible Data Bundle Keyword to 131, e.g. 104 to 131.
  2. USSD – *406*7# and *131#

Q. What services can I exchange my Pulse Points for?

A. You will be able to redeem your Pulse Points by using Pulse Points only or a combination of Pulse Points and Airtime for the following services:

  • Daily Data Bundles
  • Weekly Data Bundles
  • Monthly Data Bundles
  • Instagram/TikTok/Youtube Data Bundles
  • Nightlife Bundles

Q. Will I be able to combine my airtime and Points balance to redeem Data Bundles?

A. Yes. You will be able to redeem Bundles by combining your airtime and Points.


Q. If I choose the Airtime Only option, but I have insufficient airtime and sufficient Pulse Points, will the Bundle be activated?

A. No, the Bundle activation will fail due to insufficient airtime, and you will receive a notification stating this.


Q. When I choose the Pulse Points and Airtime option and have enough airtime and Pulse Points to purchase the Bundle, which of these will be deducted?

A. When you choose the Pulse Points and Airtime option to purchase your Data plan, the higher priority will be given to the Pulse Points, so your Pulse Points will be deducted.


Q. When I choose the Pulse Points and Airtime option, and I have sufficient airtime but insufficient Pulse Points to purchase the Bundle, which of these will be deducted?

A. Your Pulse Points will be deducted first, then your airtime will be charged to make up the amount for the Data plan.

Example: If you choose the Pulse Points and Airtime option to purchase the 1.5GB for ₦1,000, and you have 500 Pulse Points and N1,500 on your Main Account, the 500 Pulse Points will be deducted, and N500 will be charged to your Main Account to activate the Data plan.


Q. Will l be able to use my Pulse Points or Pulse Points and Airtime for Data gifting to others?

A. No, you will NOT be able to use Pulse Points or Pulse Points and Airtime for Data gifting.


Q. Will l be able to transfer my Pulse Points to loved ones or family?

A. No, Pulse Points are not transferable to loved ones or family.
