Q. How do I activate my MiFi Device with the new SIM card?

A. To activate the MTN MiFi offer, simply take the following steps:

    • Buy the MTN MiFi already Bundled with a new SIM from any MTN store or partner store.
    • Register the new SIM card
    • Insert the newly registered SIM into the MiFi device and power it on.
    • You will get free 30GB data with notifications informing you of the SIM registration and 100% bonus offer on the MiFi Portal. But, if you do not receive the free 30GB data after inserting the SIM into the MiFi, simply send ‘Activate’ to 131 via SMS.
    • To enjoy the 100% bonus, visit www.mymtn.com.ng or your MiFi Portal to activate data plans from N3,500 to N20,000.
    • You can dial *131*500# to link your MiFi Number and activate plans.

Q. How will I be able to activate the offer on my old MiFi device?

A. If you are having the old MiFi device, you will be able to activate the Top-Up bundle and Super Plan offers by sending the MiFi’s serial number + IMEI to 131. For example: “012345678912+987654321098765” to 131. Kindly note that you will only be able to enjoy Super Plan offer after month 6 of activation of the device.


Q. Do I have to call MTN Contact Centre or sales representative before I can activate the free 30GB data offer?

A. No, you will get the free 30GB data once you insert the newly registered SIM into the MiFi and turn it on. However, if you do not receive the free 30GB data after inserting the SIM into the MiFi, send ‘Activate’ to 131 via SMS.

A. You can buy the Top-Up bundle plan multiple times, BUT only upon exhaustion of the initial one you purchased. This means that you must exhaust the initial 3GB Top-Up bundle you activated before buying another one within the validity of your main access monthly data plan.


Q. Will I be able to roll over unused data from the Top-Up bundle?

A. Yes, all unused or remaining data volume from the 3GB MiFi Top-Up bundle will be rolled over upon renewal of the main monthly data plan.

Q. What is the validity of the MiFi Top-Up Bundle?

A. The MiFi Top-Up bundle will inherit the remaining validity of your active monthly data plan you earlier purchased. For example, if on July 1, 2021 you activated a 200GB Monthly Plan which will expire by July 30, 2021 and you exhausted it on July 8, 2021, the validity of the 3GB MiFi Top-Up bundle you activated on the day the 200GB was exhausted will be July 30, 2021.


Q. Will I enjoy bonus offers on the 3GB MiFi Top-Up bundle?

A. No, all existing bonus/discount offers will not be applied to the 3GB MiFi Top-Up bundle.
