Your SIM card PIN is Personal. It is a secret number known only by you. Do not share it.

*PUK is the Personal Unlock Key – a unique code linked to your mobile phone’s SIM card and is 8 digits long. You can locate the PUK on the starter pack of your SIM card. If you can’t find it, please call 300, chat with Zigi, or visit any MTN shop.

Once the SIM card lock is active on your phone, you’ll be required to enter your PIN anytime your phone is switched on or restarted. If the phone is stolen and the SIM card is placed into a new phone, it will request for the PIN.
