Skills, expertise and experience:

Before Andrew joined the SouthBridge Group, he was the President & CEO of Africa Finance Corporation (AFC); Partner at Travant Capital Partners, a West-Africa focused private equity fund he co-founded and, worked for 11 years at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector financing arm of the World Bank. He joined IFC in Washington as an investment officer working first in the Oil, Gas and Mining Department and then later in the Telecommunications Department.

In 2002, he was appointed IFC’s Country Manager for Nigeria, responsible for managing the corporation’s operations in the country. In 2006, he served as the Country Head for Southern Africa, assuming responsibility for South Africa and seven other countries. During the course of his career, Mr. Alli has been involved with investments in Africa totaling more than US$8 billion.
