The MTNF Back2School is an initiative of the Youth Development Portfolio of MTN Foundation, committed to providing access to quality education through the provision of learning materials to children in public secondary schools around Nigeria. This initiative is a powerful first response and strategy to facilitate access to a quality learning environment for thousands of Secondary school children, especially in less privileged communities in Nigeria.

Following the Foundation’s commitment to supporting public secondary schools in providing high-quality and inclusive education for all students, in 2022, a total of 42,000 school learning materials which included Exercise Books, Pencil cases, raincoats, School Bags, and Water bottles were distributed to 3000 students in 4 schools located in Lagos, Kano, Rivers, and Anambra.

This initiative is in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal, SDG 4 – Quality Education.
