A: FTTx stands for Fibre-To-The-x, where X represents homes, offices, and business centres. However, this is now referred to as MTN Fibre Broadband.

A. Select streets in Victoria Island, Kaduna and Ilorin, VGC Estate, Mayfair Estate, Crown Estate, Chevron Estate, Belmonte Apartment and Methodist Apartment in Lagos; Shell estate in Port Harcourt and CITEC estate in Abuja.


Q. Do the MTN Fibre Broadband data plans rollover?

A. Yes, the unused data balance can roll over for capped plans.


Q. Do the MTN Fibre Broadband data plans auto-renew?

A. Yes. However, you will need to consent to auto-renewal.


Q. Can MTN Fibre Broadband customers activate HyNetflex or mobile data plans?

A. No, the Fibre service has been provisioned with its data plans exclusive to the service.


Q. How can users subscribe to Fibrenet Plans?
A.  You can subscribe to Fibrenet plans using any of the following options below :

  1. Through the self-service portal: https://mymtn.com.ng
  2. Through the USSD platform:
    • Dial *461#, follow the menu to select “Fibernet Unlimited Bundles”
    • Select Monthly bundles
    • Choose the preferred bundle
    • Upon bundle selection, choose “buy for others”
    • Enter your FN ID and pay directly from your mobile airtime

Q. How can users subscribe and check their data usage?

A. The Self-service portal – www.mymtn.com.ng


Q. How do FibreNet customers change their device passwords?

A. Customer will send a request via email to mtnbroadband.ng@mtn.com or call 217 for a device password reset.


Q. How does MyCustomer resolve myMTN Web portal login issue with an error message (Please enter valid UserID)?

A. MyCustomer sends an escalation to email to mtnbroadband.ng@mtn.com or call 217 for resolution.


Q. How do you report a LOS issue (Loss Of Service), i.e. when the modem light is blinking RED?

A. You can send an escalation via email to mtnbroadband.ng@mtn.com or call 217 for resolution.


Q. Which payment options are available for FibreNet customers to recharge?

A. Transfer credit, bank card and logical PIN.


Q. What are the features available on the myMTN Web portal for FibreNet customers?

A. Service plan, Top-up, Profile and History (subscription & data usage)


Q. Which mediums do customers receive their OTP(One Time Password)?

A. MyCustomer can select email or registered MTN number to receive OTP. OTP is used to log in to myMTN NG app and Fibre portal and link mobile numbers to Fibre profiles.
