Call service, you MUST:

1. Be a Prepaid customer

2. Have registered your number

3. Have spent at least N200 monthly for 3 months.

4. Not eligible for XtraTime or MoreTime service

5. Have less than NGN1 airtime to initiate a call.

6. Paid up any outstanding XtraTime loan request.

• You will be able to know if you are eligible for MTN Zero Credit Call service by this method:
• When you initiate a call with insufficient airtime balance, you will hear an announcement with the call minute that you have been profiled. See below sample announcement:
• Press <11> and enjoy the MTN Credit Call for up to (3) minutes. Your calls will be charged at 15k/sec.

Note: The number of minutes that will be played in your announcement depends on the number of minutes you have been profiled.

The available call minutes on MTN Zero Credit Call are:

• 1 minute
• 2 minutes
• 3 minutes

A. You will be charged a flat rate of 15k/sec (N9/Min) while using Credit Call irrespective of your tariff plan rate.

Example 1: Uche is on Betatalk plan but if he accepts to access Credit Call service, his calls will be charged at 15k/sec when making calls from the borrowed minutes. However, when making any other call outside the borrowed minutes, he will be charged at the prevailing rate on Betatalk.

Example 2: Emilia is on Pulse plan but if she accepts to access Credit Call service, her calls will be charged at 15k/sec when making calls from the borrowed minutes. However, when making any other call outside the borrowed minutes, she will be charged at the prevailing rate on Pulse.

A. You will receive a notification at the end of any call made under the MTN Zero Credit Call service, informing you of the amount of seconds used and cost to be debited from your main account balance on your next recharge.

A. No, you will not be able to make another call with the remaining 15 secs.

If a customer that has been profiled for 2 minutes makes a 45 secs call, s/he will forfeit the unused 15 secs from the first minute but will still be able to enjoy another 1-minute Zero Credit Call.

Example 2: If a customer is eligible for a 3-minute Zero Credit call and makes a 45 secs call, s/he will forfeit the unused 15 secs from the first minute but will still be able to enjoy another 2- minutes Zero Credit Call.

Scenario 1:

1. When Ahmed with zero balance on his main account and is eligible for a 2-minute Zero Credit call makes a 45 secs call, the new main account will now be -N6.75, i.e.

• Main account before the first Zero Credit call: N0
• Zero Credit Call duration: 45secs
• Cost of call = 15k/sec x 45secs = N6.75
• Main account after the first 15secs Zero Credit call: N0 – N6.75 = –N6.75

2. If Ahmed with the –N6.75 balance on his main account makes another 60 secs call from the remaining Zero credit call minutes, the new main account will now be – N15.75, i.e.

• Main account before the second Zero Credit call: –N6.75
• Zero Credit Call duration: 60secs
• Cost of call = 15k/sec x 60secs = N9
• Main account after the second 60 secs Zero Credit call: –N6.75 – N9 = –N15.75

Scenario 2:

1. When Kelvin with zero balance on his main account and is eligible for a 3-minute Zero Credit call makes a 60 secs call, the new main account will now be -N9, i.e.

• Main account before the first Zero Credit call: N0
• Zero Credit Call duration: 60secs
• Cost of call = 15k/sec x 60secs = N9.
• Main account after the first 15secs Zero Credit call: N0 – N9 = –N9

2. If Kelvin with the –N9 balance on his main account makes another 90 secs call from the remaining Zero credit call minutes, the new main account will now be – N22.5, i.e.

• Main account before the second Zero Credit call: –N9
• Zero Credit Call duration: 90secs
• Cost of call = 15k/sec x 90secs = N13.5
• Main account after the second 90 secs Zero Credit call: –N9 – N13.5 = –N22.5

Note:

• After the second call from above, Kelvin will not be able to use the Zero Credit Call service until he has cleared the outstanding debt (i.e. – N22.5) on his line.

A. No, your call will be suspended once you exhaust the call duration, and you will be notified to recharge.

A. Yes, you will be able to access Zero Credit Call once you have been profiled for the service and you have paid off the minutes used.

But, if you are yet to pay off your outstanding bill, you will not be able to access the Zero Credit Call service until you recharge to pay off the cost of the minutes used.

A. No, you can only make local on-net or off-net call with MTN Zero Credit Call and the calls will be charged at a flat rate of 15k/sec (N9/Min) irrespective of the applicable rate on the customer’s tariff plan. International, roaming or any other type of calls will be charged from main account if you have enough airtime to cover for the call charges.

A. You will be able to pay for total cost of minutes used when you recharge or receive airtime from someone.

A. No, you cannot use any airtime in your airtime bonus account to offset the MTN Zero Credit Call loan.
